PHERECLOS Sailor: Virtual school visits

A PHERECLOS Sailor Badge is awarded to persons showing interest and basic knowledge in the concept of Open Schooling.

The Sailor Badge is a sign of involvement and participation. It is the first sign of being part of an Open Schooling culture.

Virtual school visits were organized in co-operation of SnellmanEDU‘s Children’s University, Young Academy Finland, University of Eastern Finland and Tiedetuubi. The virtual meetings took place in Kasurila, Hamula, Pyörö and Vuorela schools in November 2020 – March 2021. The co-operation provided participating teachers and teacher-students experiences on how to engage pupils in science using distance learning methods.
